Set over Set – PLO

How is this possible? Someone had double suited aces and limped in. Omaha is a drawing online poker game, which often leads players to be passively preflop and aggressive once they make a online poker hand or see a draw. But this is ridiculous; they are losing so much value with double suited aces by limping in, but were lucky enough to flop set over set against me. In Omaha, sets are a bit more common than in Texas Holdem poker online only because each player has a higher chance of holding a pair in his hand with four cards. So, this makes the situation of set-over set more common as well, yet still rather unlikely. At a full table, only 3 of us saw this limped flop A-Q-9. I led out for a small bet of a dollar and he raised me to 4.75. What could he be raising me with? Two pair comes into mind with the AQ out there. He could also have limped with all Broadway cards. Usually players are not very aggressive preflop when they don’t have any low cards in their hand. He could have two pair with a gut-shot straight draw or something. I decide to flat call and see the turn. The 4 on the turn makes me more confident in my set, knowing no straights or full houses have been completed. I decide to trap and check raise. He bets a large bet though, the size of the pot. This looks a little strange. He might be scared of a draw, but he didn’t slow down after I flat called his re-raise, leading me to believe he likes his hand. There is now a lo draw and a flush draw, and he is not backing down. I start to think that he might have a set of queens, which also could have been included in an awkward limping hand. Had I taken more time I might have folded, but instead I shoved and he instantly called me with top set of aces. Neither of us had a live lo draw and the hi hand scooped.
